Marine Business Manager (291378-670)

Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgment, oversees, monitors and manages marine lines of business. Responsible for reviewing, evaluating and recommending underwriting guidelines and rate structures to ensure profitable growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identifies, solicits, and recommends the appointment of new marine agencies; evaluates and recommends the rehabilitation or termination of existing marine agencies.
2. Regularly visits agencies within field center and maintains liaison between company and agency staff to:
a. Train agency staff on company philosophy, systems, products, policies, procedures and changes.
b. Work with agencies on quoting, underwriting, writing and renewing quality marine accounts.
c. Assist agencies and the company in identifying and exploiting markets for company products.
d. Facilitate the resolution of service and other issues between the agency and the company in all areas.
3. Develops, implements, monitors and manages marine related marketing programs. These may be in conjunction with agencies, directly with marinas, or with other affiliated entities or associations.
4. Serves as the product coordinator for the yacht line of business. Analyzes products, rates and trends to recommend improvements.
5. May provide leadership to junior staff by assigning tasks, training and providing guidance. May provide input to management regarding junior staff performance.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
